BASRA UNIVERSITY WINS FIRST PLACE OVER IRAQ’S UNIVERSITIES FOR THE SOUTHERN REGION FOR FUTSAL
It took place on Monday 24/1/2022 and at the Technical College Hall for the finals of the Iraqi Universities Championship for the Southern Region Futsal.
Where the Basra University team won the first place after defeating the Al-Maqal University team with a score of two goals to none.
The tournament was attended by the President of the University of Basra, the President of the Technical University, the Administrative Assistant of the University of Basra, the Dean of the College of physical Education and Sports Sciences, the Administrative Assistant of the College of Administration and Economics, the Administrative Assistant of the University of Al-Maqal, representatives of football federations, representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for student activities and many sports personalities as well as  The professors of student activities of the colleges participating in the tournament, led by Dr. Imad Faraj Badrawi and Dr. Hussein Musa Hussein from the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basra and their follow-up to the team throughout the tournament’s days. 
At the end of the tournament the player Caesar Muntazer from the college of Administration and Economics Department of Finance and Banking Sciences, was honored as the best player in the tournament
