A MASTER’S THESIS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF BASRA DISCUSSING HUMAN DEVELOPMENT AND ITS ROLE ‎IN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, THE EXPERIENCE OF SINGAPORE AND SAUDI ARABIA,AND THE ‎POSSIBILTY OF BENEFITING FROM IT IN IRAQ FOR THE PERIOD (2004-2019) ‎

On Wednesday 29/12/ 2021, the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basra discussed a master’s thesis in economics on human development and its role in economic development, the experience of Singapore and Saudi Arabia, and the possibility of benefiting from it in Iraq for the period (2004-2019).

The thesis of the researcher (Mutlaq Muhammad Talak) aims to identify the conditions that Singapore and Saudi Arabia went through and how the two countries were able to overcome all the obstacles that stand in the way of development by focusing on creating a state of balance between economic development and human development.

The thesis concluded the importance of the human element as the end and the means through which real economic development takes place, similar to what happened in Singapore and Saudi Arabia.
