BASRA UNIVERSITY ORGANIZES QA SCIENTIFIC SYMPOSIUM ON THE ROLE OF MATHEMATICS IN ECONOMIIC SCIENCES
The Statistics Department at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basra, in cooperation with the Iraqi Al-Khwarizmi Association, organized onThursday 23/12/2021 a scientific symposium on the role of mathematics in economic sciences with the participation of a group of researchers from various Iraqi universities.
The symposium was moderated by Prof. Dr. Nouri Farhan Al-Mayahi and the participating researchers delivered the lectures Prof. Nada Badr Jarrah, the Lecturer Dr. Asmaa Ayoub, and Assistant Professor Wafaa Abdel-Samad Ashour, And Assistant Professor Nadia Ali Ayed several scientific research.
The symposium aims to strengthen the links between mathematics and its sciences and between development and community service and its relationship to business administration and its role in the growth and development of the economy and the development of thinking and analysis skills and the ability to identify and search for truth and its importance in revitalizing the human mind and its intelligence.
Participating research included several axes, the first axis included administrative and economic mathematics, and the second axis included accounting, financial and banking mathematics
The third axis clarified statistics and informatics, and finally the fourth axis touched on computer science and smart applications.
The symposium recommended taking into consideration that mathematics should have a prominent role in solving the problems that our dear country suffers from, especially the economic and social ones, through the use of mathematical modeling.
