A MASTER’S THESIS AT BASRA UNIVERSITY DISCUSSES THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN INVESTOR BEHAVIOR AND STOCK PRICE TRENDS IN IRAQ
On Wednesday 22/12/2021 the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basra discussed a master’s thesis in banking and financial sciences on the relationship between investor behavior and stock price trends in Iraq.
The thesis of the researcher (Hanan Zahraw Hassan) aims to know the effect of the behavioral determinants of investors on their orientations and investment decisions and to identify the behavioral factors to which they are exposed, in addition to knowing the relationship between the behavior of investors and the trends of stock prices.
The thesis concluded that investors in the Iraqi Stock Exchange are exposed to various risks added to price fluctuations and financial returns, which lie within the investor’s mind himself, as the results of the statistical analysis showed that the investor has a clear tendency for irrational behaviors in his investment decisions as a result of being affected by a set of behavioral factors.
