BASRA UNIVERSITY CELEBRATES THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE ARABIC LANGUAGE:
The Educational Guidance and Psychological Guidance Division at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basra under the patronage of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Abdul-Hussein Tawfiq Shibli held a special ceremony to celebrate the International Day of the Arabic Language.
The ceremony was inaugurated by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran then Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of Iraq.
Then the Dean delivered his speech on this occasion, followed by a speech on preserving the integrity of the Arabic language delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Shatha Ahmed Alwan, Head of Business Administration Department.
At the end of the ceremony the Dean honored Dr. Sabah Abdel-Karim, professor of Arabic language at the college.
