On the occasion of the International Anti-Corruption Day the Educational Guidance and Psychological Guidance Unit at the College of Administration and Economics at the University of Basra held an awareness symposium on (forms of financial, economic, and moral administrative corruption and ways to combat them) on Thursday 9/12/2021.
The seminar which was attended by social researcher Muhammad Hussein Jabr and assistant professor Dr. Ahmed Saddam, aims to shed light on the causes of corruption, its roots and ways and methods of combating it.
The seminar touched on an important point represented in combating corruption gradually starting with the individual and reforming oneself, which will reflect positively on society, as corruption cannot be treated without self-reform.
The seminar recommended the necessity of activating strict laws applied on the ground by the executive authorities through the interaction of the individual and society together with the executive authorities to get rid of the scourge of corruption.
