The Deanship of the College of Administration and Economics announces the availability of a training program for students who are among 20% of the graduates in need of work

 

THE DEANSHIP OF THE COLLEGE OF ADMINISTRATION AND ECONOMICS ANNOUNCES THE AVAILABILITY OF A TRAINING PROGRAM:

 The Deanship of the College of Administration and Economics - Office of the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs announces the availability of a training program for students of our college sponsored by the Southern Iraq Program for the Development of Employment Skills.  Southern Iraq Job Skills Development Program 2020

  The objectives of the program are summarized in enabling youth in southern Iraq to:

 (1) Building leadership and career readiness skills.

 (2) Developing strong mentoring relationships with local trade and NGO leaders.

 Program structure....

 • The 72 students will be distributed evenly across the four southern governorates (Basra - Dhi Qar - Maysan - Muthanna) at a rate of 18 students in each governorate, and the 18 students will be divided into two groups, each student group will have one mentor.

 For 8 months (December 2019 - August 2020), students will participate in activities and assignments according to the monthly curriculum designed specifically for this program.

 • The curriculum focuses on exploring job skills and strengthening the network of relationships. Once a month, the mentors and their student groups will meet to discuss the monthly curriculum and participate in some educational activities with each other.

 • All program participants will meet three times for a counseling session for the whole group during the program by an employee of the International Education Organization.

 • The program will begin and end with an event for the participants of the entire program which will include leadership training, group building and the forging of student community networks.

 In order for the student to be selected to join this program, one must:

 1 • To be an Iraqi citizen currently living in one of the four southern governorates (Basra - Dhi Qar - Maysan - Muthanna)

 2 • You are currently enrolled in a university or vocational school in (Basra - Dhi Qar - Maysan - Muthanna)

 3 • Being available to meet once a month with your counseling group

 4 • Complete all tasks and actively participate in program activities

 5 • Attending all events in Basra (final meeting for the whole group)

 6 • Maintain full communication with your mentor and program coordinators

 7 • you must be able to participate during the entire program period (2/1/2021- 2/9/2021).
